How to assign article to mobile front page

It seems the mobile frontpage works different as the desktop frontpage.
In desktop, I am able to assign a setting called "Home" in the Menu manager. With multiple languages, the flag of the language is displayed in the Menu manger overview. This menu displays the home page when entering the site.

How can I do this in the mobile site?
I have menu's working, but entering the site, or a tap on the left top image (logo) does not redirect to the first menu. I only have an empty mobile frontpage. I would like to have some articles in my mobile frontpage but have no clue how to put them there...

Help appreciated

Hi

You have to create a dedicated menu for mobile with "Home" link (frontpage layout) and them you need to set this menu as mobile menu on template parameters > Mobile layouts > Mobile menu name.

You can also use exclusive module positions available on modules manager to display content and assign the specific menu link of mobile menu.

That is no new information for me.
I did that but it didn't work. There is an issue with hiding the modified date. Playing with the Hide / Show fields of various items like the dates had an outcome that my image showed up on the frontpage. Most fields behave strange and does not match how it works in the desktop version. I have another post that is taking care of by Teitbyte because of these issues.
Thank you
