Hey Guys and Girls,

The problem I am having is that the template AppSite 1.7 is not working I have attached the link to my website so you can take a look.
The problem is you can click on any menu headings to go to any pages.
The whole website seems to be one giant link.

For now thats all the problems I have discovered.

I have used QuickInstall in the Hosting Cpanel, everything seemed to go work no problems just seems with templates it has a problem.

Would it be better if i deleted everything in the cpanel and started again?

If someone could please help me asap that would be much appreciated.

If you have used a quickstart package and end result is what it is now then I do not think your template is installed properly. Once your quickstart package is installed it should look same as our demo page.

I have not used the quickstart package, would an option be to delete everything I have in the cpanel and start again with the quick start?
If so what do i need to delete, form the cpanel?

So are you saying to go into the Cpanel delete the Database and everything in the root folder and start install again, from scratch?

Yes delete database and any files in public_html folder.

Extract and upload contents into public_html folder.
Then browse to your website and it will start an installation.
Follow on screen instruction and you should have your website same as our demo page.

Okay I have done that but when I go to update I get the following error:

JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL DB function failed with error number 1061
Duplicate key name 'idx_image' SQL=ALTER TABLE `aaron_languages` ADD UNIQUE `idx_image` (`image`);
SQL =

ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD UNIQUE `idx_image` (`image`);

Files Update: SQL error file DB function failed with error number 1061
Duplicate key name 'idx_image' SQL=ALTER TABLE `aaron_languages` ADD UNIQUE `idx_image` (`image`);
SQL =

ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD UNIQUE `idx_image` (`image`);

How can this error be amended?

On the same page where you see this error there will be new button called "Database"

Database button is a new feature of Joomla 2.5, simply click on that and on top right corner you will see "Fix" button. Click on Fix and it will fix those 2 errors.

Can you write down your steps as in what you have done so we can backtrack.

Which template version are you using?
J1.7 or j2.5 ?

my steps:
1) Go into cpanel, then public_html make new folder named "old files" move everything into this folder (form the first time I tried installing this template)
2) Go to MySQL and make new database, and user, then link the two together activate all privileges
3) Go back into the public_html and import the quickstart.zip
4) Unpack
5) Move all files from the sub folder named "gk_appsite_quickstart_J17" into the public_html
6) Go to the website www.mysolarsupply.com.au
7) Follow the install procedure
8) Remove Installation file
9) Login to back end and update from 1.7 to 2.5
10) Start removing things form the quick start I no longer need, menu tabs, articles, etc
11) Start adding the content I wish the site to have

That's basically it in a nut shell should i try installing the quick start 2.5?
OR
Just stuff having the latest version and go back to 1.5?

Ok so you are using quickstart 1.7 then updating to joomla 2.5 but you are not updating the template files to use with joomla 2.5 so that is why you might be having problems.

Download File: gk_boutique_J!25.zip
Unpack gk_boutique_J!25.zip
Copy contents to: "/templates/gk_boutique/.."
Find File from unpack folder : "\gk_boutique_J!25\language\en-GB.tpl_gk_boutique.ini "
Copy into : "/language/en-GB/"

If above doesn't work then please try to reinstall by using "gk_boutique_quickstart_J!25.zip" So this way we can be sure all your files are compatible.
Also once you finish reinstalling please take a note on what you remove so incase of a problem we can investigate easier.
