404 error

I have major problems with the musicity template!
My version is on www.rokkie.tv

When I modify the htaccess file to turn on the SEO settings a 404 error appears.
I use notpad+ and Ipswitch to create the settings my provider gives.

# Options +FollowSymlinks
# mod_rewrite in use
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

I also managed to turn down safe mode it's on advanced settings in the provider menu. Besides I modified the configuration.php The installation folder is www.rokkie.tv/rokkiemag - renaming htacces does not solve the problem. Whatever I try this 404 error stays and all this is leading me nowhere...

PLEASE HELP!

Have you tried a sef extension instead. You will run into less problems

I installed the sh404sef plug-in and it all seems to work okay!
