Hi Guys

Musicity is a great template and i think that you all think also.
i do believe that besides JomSocial, it needs also Kunena style support.

Please remember that this is NOT official GavickPro release and it's only my own initiative.
So, if you wish to test it, follow this instructions:

kun-musicity.png

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Download attach file "Kunena-Theme_GK_Musicity_v1.1.zip" and decompress.

2) Using Kunena template installer, upload and install "gk_style.zip" file.

3) Select "gk_style" as default Kunena template from Kunena template manager.

4) VERY IMPORTANT! On this step, you need to add some changes on cufon.php file from Musicity template. So open the following file: ../templates/gk_musicity/layouts/blocks/cufon.php

Find this line:
Code: Select all
#comments .comment-date

Replace with:
Code: Select all
#comments .comment-date,
#Kunena #ktab li,
#Kunena tr.ksth,
#Kunena li.kpost-username,
#Kunena div.kthead-title,
#Kunena .kwholegend span

Save file

Hi

Yes, it will be release today (late hours, i'm afraid :pinch: )

Guys, remember this is my own initiative and not official (for now).
It's the first attempt to release Kunena support to a Gavick Template and i expect that much will be needed to update.
I also expect your feedback to guide me where can be improved.

Cheers

Man I had to actually search for this thread, I'm a bit excited about this Kunena template. I'm actually building my personal site based on this template. I've built hundreds of sites for customers but I didn't personally own one until now. But then again the worst running cars are owned by mechanics :>) So take your time and I'll give ya some feedback.

Hi

This is the first version that i can give you guys (i know that you are impatience :P ).
Since this is my first approach to Kunena themes, it's natural that plenty needs to be done or improve.
For now, it only have Musicity red color theme, but i will have 3 colors themes and much more improvements will be added.

Please remember that this is NOT official GavickPro release and it's only my own initiative.
So, if you wish to test it, follow this instructions:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Download attach file "Kunena-Theme_GK_Musicity_v1.0.zip" and decompress.

2) Using Kunena template installer, upload and install "gk_style.zip" file.

3) Select "gk_style" as default Kunena template from Kunena template manager.

4) On this step, you need to add some changes on cufon.php file from Musicity template. So open the following file: ../templates/gk_musicity/layouts/blocks/cufon.php

Find this line:
Code: Select all
#comments .comment-date

#comments .comment-date,
#Kunena #ktab li,
#Kunena tr.ksth,
#Kunena li.kpost-username,
#Kunena div.kthead-title,
#Kunena .kwholegend span

Save file

That's it. ;)

I will be expecting your comments and reports.

Graphics Source files will be added soon.

really nice, I'll install it and see if there are any issues, but from the screenshots this is awesome work. This also prompts me to really look at the code so I also edit these templates in the future. Your a true inspiration Seichinha

WARNING

before you guys freak out and say the zip is broken.. the template is actually in the zip file inside a folder.. that's what you upload

Hi,

Great template and it looks beautiful. I appreciate your hard work and effort.

I had to make one small change to the css file:

1. Go to ../components/com_kunena/template/gk_style/css/kunena.forum-min.css
2. On line 99, change the width from 22 to 45.

This is needed if you have more than 3 digits for your reply number. I've attached a before/after image so you can see what I'm talking about. For those with larger forum replies, you may need to go higher. Or, if someone knows how to make it dynamic, that would be cool too.

Thanks again for everything...this template rocks!

Thanks for your great work!
However, it would be great if you include alternative CSS files for the blue template (Musicity style 3).
I made some changes manually but there are small elements I couldn't turn in blue.

Hi, Thanks for an excellent Kunena template, but I'm waiting for the blue version, does it will be available soon? I know this is not an official release but it really looks great. I'm creating as a voluntary a full music community for a non profit organization and that template will really rock! Thanks for your time and if you need someone to test it in different browsers and scenarios just let me know. I had been using Joomla! since 2005 and I have not found anything better to do the job. I also love Gavick templates!

Hi Guys

Version 1.1 is already released.
Please download file and follow instructions on first post of this threat.

For those who already are using this Kunena template, it is necessary to uninstall version 1.0 and install 1.1. Why? Because Red, Gold and Blue styles were added and this change most of files and eliminate some.

Enjoy ;)

Kusy wrote:Hey.

That's what explain in the first post. Theme style of Kunena will be the same as the one set on template parameters (backend).
If you have template style switcher enable on frontend, after user change template style, the browser must be refreshed to bring up the same kunena style.
In next version i'm sure that i will find a way to change automaticly, as the template does. The question is now how to use Asset.css script working along with template and kunena at same time.

Cheers ;)

Hi,
I have gold style in Musicity but kunena style is red. I cleared joomla cache, browser cache and nothing still red :(

PS Gold style should look good with CherryDesign template.

I have the same problem, the template is selected as blue in the backend but no change in the kunena template, anyway I will do the change manual in the folders, I will only use the blue one anyway.
