I have found a bug in the Jomsocial template for Musicity. I have taken a screenshot of the problem:

Capture_2011-06-04.JPG

The page numbers should be horizontal but they are vertical.

As you can see on the screen shot there are to much space between the tollbar and the group icons. This is in group view in Jomsocial.

I am using Jomsocial 2.2.2. Musicity was realesed after Jomsocial 2.2, why make a template that doesn´t supports the latest version?

Hi

I'm sure it was made for the latest version, but JS is releasing update couple times per week so it's impossible to keep up :(

Hi

Musicity was developed couple of months ago. So You see how much has changed since.

I remember a year ago when I was helping to update JS. I was starting just after the update and the next day I've released it I've needed to start all over again. So now we are updating all templates from time to time.

Is this why I have a massive red block across the top of the JS profile page!!!? and nothing aligns!

How long do you recon the update will take? What version of JS will work with this template?

Cheers

I haven´t had that big problems with the template. The template works with JS 2.2 and you make sure you are using the Joomla 1.5 JS template if you are using Joomla 1.5 and the same thing if you are using Joomla 1.6.

Make sure you are using the JS template from the reset files for Joomla 1.6. If use the right template I don´t know what could be wrong.

Here is two more bugs in the Musicity Jomsocial template.

1. The featured star for which is shown on featured albums is up in the left corner over the JS home button, it is supposed to be on the featured albums:

Capture_2011-07-04.JPG

2. The "more" button on the JS frontpage, when you click on it it shows more entries from the activity stream. It is far to the left and it is difficult to see it. It should be centered and it should have some background color so it will be more easy to notice:

The package fix the problem described by @trumes79,
@erka please send me access to some JS profile and direct links to problems described in the first post and this issue '1. The featured star for which is shown on featured albums is up in the left corner over the JS home button, it is supposed to be on the featured albums' to bkrztuk.gk[at]gmail.com

Point 2 of your post is a result of our implementation JS style, you can change it to your own vision but in gk_style this 'More' button looks like in your screen. In future please attach info about your Joomla verion because we provide this gk_style for Joomla 1.5 and 1.6.

Hello

I have a very similar issue with a fresh install of Musicity 1.5 and JomSocial. It is fine until someone logs in and then the template breaks.

I'm not sure if you were replying to me as I don't fully understand your post but I am running Joomla version 1.5.23 with the latest version of the Musicity Quickstart and JomSocial 2.2.3 (I have also tried it with 2.2.1). It seems as if style.css from /com_community/templates/gk_style/css/ does not get called into the template. I have switched the default template back and forth and cleared the cache but I still cannot get any of the new JS styles to apply. I have checked the permissions on the files and folders under gk_style and they are identical to the rest of the style folders which work.

Unfortunately I cannot give you live access to the site as it is on an internal development server at the moment.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

regards

Andrew

I fixed my issue by replacing the JomSocial stylesheet with an old version I had downloaded when the template first came out. I am attaching it here in the hope that it also helps you. Be sure to make a copy of your original in case this does not fix the problem and you wish to revert back.

Hi again

ok so instead of:

Code: Select all
#cFeatured span.cFeaturedOverlay {top: 71px!important; left: -11px!important;}

use

Code: Select all
.cFeaturedThumb span.cFeaturedOverlay {top: 71px!important; left: -11px!important;}

this will fix both ;)
