google translate

I'm interested in adding a google translate module at the very top of the page above the logo.
It's become difficult for me to have it anywhere else on the template.
It seems like there's never a good place for it.
I'd like it to be a horizontal bar, kind of like your stats module... but above the logo.
Is there any way I can create a module position for the very very top of the page?
I'm not a pro when it comes to creating module positions, but I bet you all over there at Gavick are.
Any other ideas for creating a subtle place for the google translate drop down menu of languages?
I'd like it to be extremely obvious to international users...

Can you at least let me know if it is possible to modify the template so that I can include this module otherwise?
