Which version to use of JomSocial?

I have installed Musicity Quickstart 1.7 on my computer with XAMPP.
Working correctly.

I also downloaded JomSocial version 2.2.4. and installed the gk_style from the rest files.
But then it goes wrong > I make a menu item, log in. I get a white page.

Been reading some information on this Musicity forum and am I reading it right that the Musicity template is not ready for the latest version of Jomsocial?

If so, for what JomSocial version is it ready if I install the latest quickstart + restfiles for Musicity?
So I know which version of JomSocial to install.

The Musicity template can be used with Jomsocial 2.2.4, I am doing that.
