Tables do not format in 1.6?

Hi there, I am inserting a basic table in an article and basically the formats of this table like valign="top" and so on simply do not work. in the backend all looks perfect but when published this does not work. Obviously I have tried it in joomla 1.5 version and all is well - just does not format in 1.6? :S

shameless bump here - anyone know why tables dont work - basic table with 2 columns work but I would like to use colspan and rowspan etc and the table just gets totally messed up - its perfect in the text editor in the backend?

I actually reverted back to using template for version 1.5 to be honest. Just open up the template in joomla 1.6 and simply try and put in a table with colspan or rowspan and none of these attributes work correctly. Just incase others are using 1.6 this could prove to be a problem. On 1.5 all is fine.

I had to get moving on the site and launch in 1.5 so sorry about that. It definitely should be flagged with the team as a fix - because no table attributes worked
