Template modifications for non-programmers

Here's a thought that documenting key elements of the template functions and design and how the major pieces can be modified would be very valuable as a quick guide to basic template customization.

The logo position is hard-coded in PHP. How can this be modified to permit larger images without disrupting the design elements to either side?

What functions/design elements do each of the CSS files control?

How does one use the CSS override file so as not to disrupt the core elements of the template?

How to place an image in the page background. (I'm personally thinking as a background for the menu/header and, perhaps, extending behind the top of the main content module positions.)

Absent this, who is available to take on specific customizations?

BTW, Coffe quickstart loaded perfectly.

Please firstly look at our wiki (wiki.gavick.com), when you use search option you surely find solutions for most of your questions. If something is not clear please ask on forum.

Thank you. I'll do that. I'm new to your templates and not yet completely familiar with Joomla.

Best,
