Text in some browsers and mobile devices give strange signs

Hi,

Can u help me out with this issue plz?
i did some research and people say its in the header that doesnt give the right chars.

I checked but didn't see any issue. It might be that they did not have their browsers enabled UTF-8.

It does, if you view source code of the site you will see this:

  <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

This code asks browser to use UTF-8 encoding mode.

I don't know why your clients saw issues, I can't reproduce!

Hi Don,

i'm confused to checked everything from db to htacces and still see it on andriod devices and some explorer on windows xp. cant that be filtered out in php? and set right it must have something to do with enter, hard enter space or break charset i believe no one else had this issue before? i tried to set other fonts to see if they get it correct but they all seem to respond the same.

I really hope you can help me solve this issue.

A update... Had my hosting provider check the database and installation seemed fine they said,

i got a tip about the next information do you know where this languages are defined? Maybe the browser doesn't understand it the articles are dutch

Hi all,

Thank you for all suggestions, aparently the problem is solved.
After a reinstall everything just worked. Can't figure out why but problem solved.
