Joomla language switcher

I am trying to make the built-in language switcher to work on my Joomla 1.6 -site. But as far as I can see - this does not work together with the built in menu solution in this template.

Anyone who has tried and made it work?

[edit] You have to make different styles of the template to make this work! One for each language!

I've checked this on our templates and this language switcher works properly, maybe you don't enable the Language filter plugin (system) ?
