Conflict with Jomsocial FBConnect

I think there is a conflict with the template FB login and FBConnect in jomsocial.

When I set Use Facebook login:OFF in the template to off in order to use the one with jomsocial, the FBConnect link disappears even in the Community front page.
I have put my API ID and secret key in Jomsocial configuration, but I do not see any FB connect link unless I turn it back to on.

Has anyone tested this?

When you disable the Facebook Connect in the template Social API, then the Jomsocial Facebook connect button disappears.

I want to use the Jomsocial facebook connect, that why I want to disable the one that came with the template.

Ok! Were you able to replicate it on your test site?

Am I the only one using this template with JS? Haven't heard anyone else having the same issue.
My ticket is still pending...

After a freash install, I get this error message at the bottom of the page:

Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /var/www/vhosts/************.net/httpdocs/templates/gk_penguinmail/lib/gk.framework.php on line 602

Please just disable display_errors in php.ini - we've fixed this problem through few methods and always on some server configuration it returns a notice.

If I disable display_errors in php.ini, that means I won't be able to see the real errors on my website anymore if I set maximum error reporting in the admin backend. Or some errors will not display if there is a real error.

Is there any other way to fix this?

In general errors are logged in the logs and you can check it. Enabled display_errors setting is not a good practice (Even Joomla! 1.5/1.6 recommend to disable this option).

Does this mean even when I set error_reporting to maximum in joomla backend, I will not be able to see the errors on the screen with display_error set to no in php.ini?

yes, because display_errors has higher priority. You can always disable only notices and warnings in php.ini - then you will be able to see only real errors.
