Clear your cache in Admin . . . the code showing is what is in the HTML . . . iPad IS underlined in the code on screen . . . if you've made changes to it, I'm guessing it's showing still the cached version.

First, Thanks for the reply!

but then...well... it is NOT, I am afraid... and I am referring to the HTML code in Photoslide... see the screenshots... in Photoslide is NOT the HTML we see on the screen...

I load your site in Firefox, I check the code ACTUALLY used in Firebug and I can see that (although you might have changed the code within a file) it's not showing on screen when the site loads.

It's either a caching issue OR you haven't uploaded the actual latest code changes to the server correctly.

That's all the wired things... the whole issues started with the site owner ALSO reposting he can't see the images !!! See 37-photoslide-/81545-photoslide-gk3-stuck-on-loader-in-safari.html, unfortunately nobody from Gavick did post any reply (so far here no response either.....) I could never verify that because I always see the images in all the browsers I use on mac and windows as well... Initially he had issues in Firefox and in Safari, then, after me suggesting to clear the cache and re-boot the problem is gone in Firefox but it still persists in Safari. Only when poking a little more trying to find out the reasons, I saw that the 'iPad' was underlined which I did not do in the design (it was supposed to be bold). That's when I looked into the Photoslide code again, suspecting of course the site owner did some changes... but no, he didn't, as he reassured me anyways, and then I also saw that the code in Photoslide is actually unchanged but the screen representation is not what is in the code...

Something is obviously wrong there... We honestly did not do any changes to the code, of course... So we are lost as to what the issue is... Ok to send you the credentials so u can see with ur own eyes?

The only thing that happened recently on the site is that the SEO component RSseo from RSjoomla was installed... Is that where the problem comes from? I would not know how that is, but it just comes into my mind that that is one thing that changed on the site after the design finished.

Thanks for looking into it !!

PM the login details and I'll take a look . . . let me know which pages are the problem ones (ID's etc)

As for images, I don't see any in any browser but I think that's cos the image path is incorrect. You have this:

<img class="gk_is_slide" alt="" src="http://www.<strong>appaspect</strong>.com/components/com_gk3_photoslide/thumbs_big/419889WeDevelopForAMobileWorld.png" style="z-index: 0; visibility: hidden; opacity: 0;">

Which is completely screwed up.

I can't see any specific problems with just a quick look over the site, but for whatever reason it's not showing in the front end the code that you've entered in the back end which to me is a cache issue however without spending too much time looking over it all I can't spot it.

I'd suggest deleting the Image Show component entirely and all it's modules/plugins and starting from scratch with a clean install and new content. You've definitely got an image paths problem for that entire component which is why your images don't show. You've also got far too many similar components added (but disabled) which could also be causing issues such as YooGallery and Simple Image Gallery.

Thanks for looking into it.

We may try and delete the other components, but these were installed from the start when there were no issues at all and the issue with Photoslide started just around a week ago without any obvious reason or anything happening (beside having RSseo installed).

Would be interesting to get some feedback from Gavick... ;)

But thanks a lot for ur effort !!!

Unfortunately "support" is not one of Gavick's strong points. And the forums here are not as 'helpful' as other template sites either. I have to say that it's hurting Gavick in the long run, but that's up to them, it's been raised with them many times and they just don't get it. Great templates, crap support and documentation.

Am in Bangkok, Thailand by the way :)

Hi

Honestly, that's the first time i see this problem.
I also don't see any image and checking it's url, it brings up this:
Code: Select all
www.%3Cstrong%3Eappaspect%3C/strong>.com/components/com_gk3_photoslide/thumbs_big/419889WeDevelopForAMobileWorld.png

Somehow, path to image have <strong> html tag.
I pretty sure this comes from your joomla! installation or host server, but did you tried to uninstall and install again?

yeah, the more I look nto this the worst it gets, looks for reasons I dun understand like a complete f... up.

Probably best, as u say, do a reinstall, we do have a backup, of course...

Will come back if the issue persists for some reasons.

THANKS
