localhost issues with Black & White Quickstart

Why during the installation the Site Name and Email/Password entries are all grayed out, not allowing me to change?

Then, when I hit the administrator site on my localhost, I'm unable to login using the demo/demo credentials. I've gone into phpMyAdmin to change the password in the database, without any luck. Why am I unable to login to the admin?

you will need to login with admin and password demo
