Drop-down menu not working

I am using this theme on a website with Joomla 1.5 installed.
It looks perfect, but I just can't seem the drop down menu to work. (Menu type: Mega menu)
It's the only thing holding me back from publishing the website.
Could someone please give me some advice/help me?

It seems like a scripts conflict (there is a lot of errors in console) - there is mootools library loaded instead of jQuery - perhaps one of Your plugins forces mootools instead of jquery?
To check that - please try to disable step by step every plugin added to Your site and check when all errors, specialy those with:

Code: Select all

Uncaught TypeError: Property '$' of object [object Object] is not a function


will disappear.

I disabled the Plugin: System - jQuery
and the menu works now. I just need to check if it doesn't have any further effect on my website.

Guess the Title of this post can have the word [SOLVED] added to it.
