Why is K2 missing in News Show

I made a quick install of sporter Joomla 1.7 but unlike my wwn2 site I can not find K2 as an alternative when selecting data source to the different modules? It only says Joomla Article and Category. Why is that?

It's hard to tell without seeing it, but please check if K2 is installed and if it's up to date and please also update NSP in neccessary.
