K2 Compatability with News Highlighter GK1?

Is there any way to make News Highlighter GK1 compatible with
K2 categories or items? The module is only compatible with the
standard Joomla, Section/Category layout.

I was about to open a new thread with this question. Is really necessary for me to make News Highlighter GK1 compatible with K2 categories or items.

News HighLighter with K2 support is on Beta 1 version.
