cannot add/modify top menu

Hi,
this is first time i see this problem and to be honest not sure where this is happening. When trying to change menu name or add new menu item, the browser sits there for awhile and goes blank.. as result item not modified or created. i checked the web server error logs, nothing there.

this happening only with 1.7 joomla version of this template.. awhile ago I was playing with 1.5 and all worked fine.

Can you please help me with this problem? thank you.

Please check the module settings after you change the menu name, because in template settings you can select menu to display. If the name was changed probably you need to update also template settings.
