Is this compatible with Joomla! 1.6? {SOLVED}

I'm getting ready to build a site and I have the option to install Joomla! v1.6, but before I do anything I need to know if this template is compatible. If not, then I can just use the most current version of Joomla.

Cherry isn't a J1.6 compatible template at the moment. Penguin is the only 1.6 template that Gavick have available at present.

The impression I get from reading this forum, is that templates released over the last twelve months using the T3 frame work, will eventually be recoded to be compatible with J1.6.

freshgs is absolutely right. and as far as i have heard, cherry or postnote would be the first of the old templates to come over.

Thanks, guys! I went ahead and used the other latest version of Joomla! instead. Is there any ETA for the conversion?
