Migration to Joomla 1.6

Hello,

I am setting up a site with the CherryDesign. I have progress a lot with the website, and I want to migrade it to Joomla 1.6.

Is that possible?

If yes how? I have tried with jUpgrade but I have diffuculties in terms of not all articles are displayed, I have problems with the extenisions and layout etc.

What is the best approach?
