I'm getting this error message when I try to install this template...

Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

I think You are trying to install a quickstart package. Please copy the site to the server and run the site, the joomla installer will tell You the steps.

or if you already have joomla installed and just want the template please download the tgz file insted. thats a joomla installer..

I downloaded and installed the tgz and my site looks like this which is fine, because I know that's the regular template...

but I wanted to install the quickstart template, so I could have everything that the original site has here http://demo.gavick.com/index.php?year=2010&month=Aug and then I could just change the info and pictures with my stuff... Like I did for the gamebox template.

then extract the quickstart on your domain and you will have joomla+content+template...

What do you mean? unzip the quickstart file and then copy all those files where the gk_cherrydesign_J!15.tgz files are at? in the same root directory? I tried that also and got another error message...

take the quickstart. extract it local. upload all files to your webserver. and go to your url and start the install

you will only need the quickstart, no need to install joomla first, or template after.

the quickstart contains it all
