Hi

Just installed Cherrydesign using the quickstart -files.

- Everything worked fine but Cherrydesign is not visible in Template Manager?

There seems to be only: Beez, JA_Purity and rhuk_milkyway.

Any ideas why is that and how to fix it?

Hi

Just made uninstall -> install with basic template package. In my case it solved the problem.

I tried, but it didn't working as I got "template already installed." What package did you install?

Hi

Yes - sorry. You have to uninstall the template first. What I did was:

1. change the default template to different one - whatever - I used another Gavic template
2. ftp to Joomlas template folder and delete cherrydesign folder
3. Install cherrydesign again (You may have some errors at this point)
4. Uninstall cherrydesign
5. Install cherrydesign again - this time You should not have any errors..
6 change default template to cherrydesign

This should work - for me it did.

The templateDetails.xml file is missing in the quickstart package. I guess the easy fix would be to ftp the templateDetails.xml from the default template file, up to your server.
While you're there you may also like to upload the offline and error php files, as they are also not present in the 104 update package.

Hi

Ok - Thank You. Sure this is much easier than my "uninstall - install" procedure.

The fonts are selected in the template parameters. I believe there was an update which effected the functionality of the fonts, which may account for the change you are seeing.

To access the template params from Joomla back end go to the template manager and select the cherry template. There are two areas of the page where the fonts can be applied - Headings and Body allowing variation in the typography.

Your params file needs to be writeable for the changes to take effect.

Hope that helps,
