Guys ...
Please ... Is there any 404.HTML page ... ??
I don't thing so ... but ... How can I make a copy of that page ?? Or rewrite text inside ??
Text is not in /templates/gk_cherrydesign/css/system/error_style2.css of course ... but where is it ?? And ... even worse:
Why Firefox says me that:

Oops! This page appears broken. HTTP 404 - File not found.

Many thanks.

There does seem to be a problem with the 404 page. The css/system/error_*.css files are there but no styling is being applied to the page.

Have you looked at this login protector it could be used to replace Jsecure. ;)

Woops forgot to add this Backend Token the combination should help protect the backend.

Also the new Akeeba Admin Tools Pro will write an .htaccess file for the admin directory.

Have you changed the name of your template or its directory?

If you have then you will need to change the path to css files in the error.php and offline.php both of which are in the root of the cherry template folder.

No issues with my 404 after correcting the path. :-)

If your template name and directory are all default then what worked for me won't work for you.

You can do your own 404 override by following this document Joomla.org custom error page wiki this will explain how to change the text, and trap error page codes to vary the output.

Or

You can use that document to help you diagnose the issue you have with the templates 404 page.

Have you tried something like this com_error_404? With this component you can edit your 404 page plus receive email alerts if your site throws a 404.

The gavick one is overriding the standard one - I haven't tried the theory. But you can use the gavick css to produce your override in the error 404 component. So yes it's achievable, you may have to edit a few files and experiment a little.

I am going to loose the way !! :(

I do not understand nothing ... There's nothing to edit the 404 page ... only a "List of the errors for which there is no mail to send" ... :(
By the way ...
Even with the image of the logo there are problems !! :(

Hi

Please go to gk_cherrydesign/css/system/error_style1.css and add this at the end of this file:

Code: Select all
.top {
display:none;
}

Ok, Thank You again Teitbite.
:)

Problem is almost fixed, only Firefox, I do not know why, goes to:

http://www.mybrowserbar.com/cgi/errors. ... o=US&ct=12

And saws: Oops! This page appears broken. HTTP 404 - File not found.

Just for curiosity ...
Is it a prob ??

Hi

That must have done it before adding code to css. I'll send this to our programmer.

if i were you i would make this update now, and then in the future use the override.css (i just did it on my end:) )

then you will always know where your costumizations are...

Yes ... I know, Explodedk ... You're right ...
I just have not so much familiarity with override techinique ... I'll try ...
By the way, I should have the original file for every change I make, for nstance, I change index.php, then I copy it first of all and I call it index_ORIGINAL.php ... I hope ... Maybe I'll wait for the monday's update ... I don't wonna make two times the same job ... ^_^
