Hi Guys,

Love this template and just installed the quickinstall, set dir permissions right and stuff. But somehow something is wrong with the New Pro GK4 module for the frontpage. Any idea how to solve this?

Code: Select all
Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home/sites/site223/web/modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/cache/k2.items.cache.c82cc4e14a1d2c8c8ffff9840d24b558_Lnsp_43.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /home/sites/site223/web/modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/gk_classes/gk.thumbs.php on line 175

Thanks in advance!

Okay, found it. I couldn't read the whole error when it was displayed on the website, but after I pasted it here and read it, I saw what it was.

For those that might have this as well: Just set the permissions for the cache directory under the News Pro GK4 module 777.

I got the same error too and changed the cache directory under the News Pro GK4 module to 777, but i still get this error.
Any idea?

Hi,

You need to set the files in the cache directory to 777 as well. That will do it.

the right way would be to set the cachedir and subfiles/dirs to 777... as far as im aware 755 is enough...

Well, I am simply telling what made it work. :) If the files were 644 when they were moved there, 755 might be enough. Didn't test that, but 777 made it work in any case :)

You will find this information on the respective HelpFile:

Important! If you have problems on thumbnails generation, you need to insure that cache directory on module have rewrite permissions. So, if this is the case, use your FTP software to access cache directory and change permissions to 755.

also
You also might need to check if you have active on your website PHP GD library and which version bundled (2.0.34 compatible). Contact your host provider to provide you this requirements.

Cheers ;)
