It's a very nice clean template. B) Although it's a little too clean right now.

I'm suffering from the same issue mtupgrade is off. Running local on vista wamp server. Installed quick start, all default settings with only minor changes to template to accommodate new logo. Rolling back the changes does not resolve the problem.

How did mtupgrade solve the issue for you? If I turn it on, I lose the rotator and as it's off by default I assume it should be off.

Update:

I downloaded and installed the regular template file - the module titles work as expected. So it seems to be related to the Quick Start installation/content.

You are right.
I've downloaded and installed the quickstart package - had the same problem.
Then downloaded and installed only the template.

After switching to the newly downloaded template everything seems to work fine.

The quick fix seems to be to download both packages. Install the Quick start and once you have completed the install, extract the template download in the joomla templates directory.

Maybe one of the Gavick team could repackage the Quick start installer with the standalone template. Unless that has implications effecting the Demo content.

EDIT:

This seems very strange. I just ran a rather unscientific diff test, against the two template file sets. Template Download and Quick Start of gk_cherrydesign there were no differences found.
