My menu items appearing behind the background image in Safari

Hi,

I have placed a background image on one of the wrappers, behind the main menu.

Everything displays fine in Internet Explorer and Firefox, but the menu items appear beneath the background image in Safari.

Additional Info:
The background image I created was feathered in Photoshop, and is transparent in places. The menu items also appear slightly transparent.
