Hello

I seem to be unable to edit the template (finance.com specifically) , as every time I apply any change the following message appears
The parameter file /templates/gk_finance_com/params.ini is unwritable!

I can ftp or ssh and CMOD the file 644 or even 777, however as soon as I click 'Apply' or 'Save' the file reverts to 'unwritable'

Oddly enough, even in 'unwritable' status, I can still apply ALL the changes , EXCEPT change the template color?

this seems more like a cache problem... if you have style switcher enabled, and earlier choosen another color from the styleswitcher , the cache will remember this...

try disable the style switcher and then clear cache and then change color in backend.

hi

I disabled style switcher, cleared cache, yet the color changes are not being reflected. All other changes show up immediately on the front, except for color changes?

I did that, downloaded params.ini, deleted the server copy, edited the file, reuploaded it, the file has the right settings, the site will NOT show them. specifically, it does NOT change style, no matter what style is in the params.ini it always shows the blue/red style. I NEED HELP PLEASE??

thanks

Hi

That's not really an issue. The showing style is the one which was placed inside the cookie when You have entered the site or choose it form the style swither. Even if You place diffrent style in the params.ini this will only affect the computer where the cookie haven't beed uploaded yet.

Unfortunately that is not the case (and btw it would be the only site I have that behaves that way since all the other ones[including at least one other gavick install on the very same server] do reflect the changes right away) . I have of course tried from different computers.
You can see for yourself at http://www.tradeonlineforex.com , which is currently supposedly set to the Grey/Blue color combination.
this does NOT happen with any of the other templates so I tend to believe it is a template specific issue?

Additionally, I just tried uploading the Sporter template on that same site, and when using it , the style switch is applied immediately, even from the very same computer

Hi

Sorry. I haven't noticed that it's about finance template. Yes, there is a bug in this template. Please look at this thread http://www.gavick.com/forum/58-security ... html#46586
