Quick Install

I am new to Joomla, please forgive my ingorance.

Following your instructions for quick install....

I create a database. OK.
I copy the unzipped files. OK.

Next it says...

"Install as a normal joomla installation"

I'm not certain what this means, could you please point me towards an explation.

I am having the same problem as you. I created DB and loaded unzipped files to my main directory but when I select my domain name I just get a file index message. Maybe you could help me please as the instructions I find are pretty minimal. regards Ian
