My site was hacked. How to update gk_corporate?

Hello,

My web-site was hacked and I have receive notice from hosting:

We received a notice that your account was involved in an outgoing DDOS through the following file:
#######################
/home/htigorg/public_html/trade/plugins/system/mEvent.php
#######################

Your account has been compromised due to a compromised Joomla installation.

We have suspended the account at this time to stop the abuse. This account contains many malicious files..

Now I need to update Joomla.


How I can do it without problems?

it depends on what version You have had before and to what version You would like to update.
Could You provide more detailed info?

Hello,

Now: Joomla 1.5 + gp_corporate 2.0.1.
For security reasons I would like to upgrade Joomla to current version 2.5 or 3.1.
But I'm afraid that template will not right work with new Joomla. Also I can't find any information about this case on web-site.
Could you please to help me with this?

Sorry, but You need new template that is compatible with new J version (even those working with J2.x will not work with 3.x).
Also please search for any information about updating database between those versions, because as far as I remember, You cant just override J1.5 installation with 2.x or 3.x files - database structure differs.
