website with Gavick Joomla templates being hacked

Hello everyone,

I don't know why yet but every time I put a Joomla template from Gavick online (multiple websites), there are people from Poland, Turkey...people from the same geographic area trying to gain access to my admin area. I had to rebuild some of my websites multiple times already just because of that.

When I put simple HTML pages...monitoring site doesn't reveal any hack. But if I switch to a Gavick Joomla template... my friends are back.

Any idea what could have cause this?

I don't believe it's fault of template if you have it from legal source.
I made almost 50 security audits and I can said that in 70% it's was fault of webmaster / servers settings.
20% old version of components (like JCE!!) or warez extensions. 10 % others

You can always block "all" hackers IP .

Now it's very hot period lot's of Joomla 1.5 websites has been hacked I saw almost 120 is last few weeks.

Template is a like "paint", not a core - so if somebody hacked your template (and add some strange links), hacked your joomla first! believe me. So add more files then only one.

Please install Akeeba Tools Pro or RSfirewall or few others.

Thank you for your reply.
I do not mean it's fault of the templates either but I am trying to find what could be of so much interest for people from those countries, once I upload one of the templates I purchase from Gavick.

p.s.
Change your password to FTP, because hacker could stole it from configuration.php if you had this data in that file saved.
