Hi
I just installed the GK Contact plugin into a Joomla 2.5 site, and when I enabled it I got a fatal error message, the type where the back end is sent offline. It was only by using the back button and disabling the plugin in Plugin Manager, then uninstalling it that the system was recovered. It looks like a great idea, but I'm very reluctant to give it another try in case it happens again. have you had any other reports of this?
Thanks

Adding on to the post I just made, I tried it on another site, without enabling, and the plugin look corrupted in some way. When you open it the text is reading with lots of underscores, and looks totally different to the sample I've been looking at offline in the Quickstart version of Creativity. I tried downloading it twice to check. I have attached the plugin file that is currently available in the Creativity download area.

Hi

I've just tried and it works for me. Please make sure You are using a plugin for joomla 2.5 and if yes than send me an access to Your joomla panel.

Hi
Thanks. Definitely 2.5 plugin, as far as i can see. Is there another source for this plugin than the Creativity template rest files folder? I'd like to double check that file isn't corrupted.
Can send you admin details, how?

That's a shame as its left me with a broken site. I'm really surprised you didn't try to use the back button to undo the installation.

Hi

Sorry I thought You said that it's a test site, so I left it like that for programmers to see.
Anyway programmers replied that it's a known issue and it's mentioned in plugin description to configure reCaptcha before enabling plugin. There is no way to check if reCaptcha is configurred correctly from within this plugin.

Hi

Yes, that's true, it is, although I didn't really want it completely broken. Never mind, I'll just do a re-install. Hopefully Rochen are still allowing 2.5 using their custom Joomla install.

Is this issue likely to be fixed in future releases? I think to say it says something about it in the documentation isn't enough. No extension should ever be released if it can totally break a site if something isn't configured properly! In my view Gavick should withdraw this plugin completely until its safe.

Thanks

Hi

Problem is that we have no way to check if reCaptcha configuration is correct. This is strictly a google developers privilage, so there is no way to tell if to load it or not. We have wrote to google to release a fix for this problem.

About the site, please just go to databse open plugin table and change this plugin publish to 0.

Okay, thank you for the plugin advice.
I just hope you don't have too many people installing that plugin and finding their site broken. Hopefully it will get fixed quickly, especially as its a really great idea.
Thanks again.

Hi

Sorry for that one more time. I've talked to programmers and they said that they are still waiting for the answer from google, so this may take some time to make it not cause such problems :( Looks like for now we just need to be careful while using this plugin.
