Hi,

I can't install Quickstart Coffe 2.5 template because the installation stay on the 1st page (language selection). The next button is not working (JS error ?).

I tried others Quickstart templates, same effect.

I checked the Joomla requirements and my host config, and it's ok (more of that, I use others J!2.5 templates from other templaters without problems).

Here's my host config :

Version PHP 5.3.16
Version MySQL 5.1.66-cll
Version Apache 2.2.22

I contacted my hoster to check with him, he has yet no idea of what's going on.

So... I really need support on that. I can MP credentials if needed.

Thanks !

Hi,

Do you have some JavaScript errors in your console?

Probably it is a FTP transfer error, because we have no similar feedbacks.

Thanks for your response.

I tried to reupload the quickstart.zip and extract it from Cpanel filemanager. The problem still occurs.

I get this errors in the Chrome console when I land to the 1st installation page :

Uncaught TypeError: Object function (){} has no method 'onDomReady' validate.js:164
(anonymous function) validate.js:164

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Window] has no method 'attachToForm' installation.js:23
(anonymous function) installation.js:23

Class.pageInit installation.js:23

Class.initialize installation.js:17

(anonymous function) mootools-core.js:33
Array.implement.each mootools-core.js:40
invoke.fireEvent mootools-core.js:374
g mootools-core.js:514

Then, when I click on Next, console shows this :

Uncaught ReferenceError: Install is not defined index.php:74
onclick

Thanks

You have some big problems with your domain configuration or with your hosting if you put http://yourdomain.com/media/system/js/validate.js path, you will see that the displayed file source is different than the file on your FTP in the media/system/js directory. Please contact with your hosting provider and ask what can cause this kind of the problems.

The validate.js file comes from some Joomla! 1.5 installation in my opinion, because the source code is very old (from 2010).
