Hello,
I have a website where there are fake users (set up by me) and one super user (myself). Yesterday there was a guy who registered to the site and became administrator as I had not done any change to permissions because it's not intended to have users and there is no register button visible on the website. I deleted that user and to avoid the problem in the future I made some changes to permissions but I thing that I went to far restricting access because when I logged in a bit later the back end was blank. Moreover now when I try to see the website or login the screen is blank and it says "Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL".
I read some forums about the issue and I entered into the MySQL database; as I am not an expert I did not change anything.
I have sent an email to the company whom I have the hosting with requesting a recovery from what was there before all the issue started. They make a daily back up.
My question is: if my hosting company makes a recovery from the back up dated before the problems started, will I get what I had before without the need to start modifying http files, configuration, etc?
Thanks.
Regards,
Marc
