Cant upload esport to joomla properly

Hello,

I have been having some issues uploading the template I purchased to joomla. Under modules and extensions I can select the template and it even shows that it is successfully uploaded but the page itself comes out jumbled and nothing like the actual template. It's been a very long time since I used Joomla so if you could please walk me through the steps required to fully and properly upload this template it would be a huge help. Also any other pointers along the way would be great. Just as a reference I am using xampp to host. Thanks!
