Hello,

I installed the files from gk_myfolio_quickstart_J!25.zip on a localhost.
When I try to adjust the CSS code in the override.css, I discovered that this file is locked !
It is still impossible to override the template css code, even when I changed the permissions of this file
(to read and write).
What can I do to make it work ?
Can someone help me ?

Thanks,

What do you mean by locked, do you mean you open it , add content , save it , reopen it and nothing is there or adding css content in to override.css does not take effect or it simply does not allow you to open the file?

What is your localhost server and operating system.

Hello,

I can open the (all the) css files in the admin, add content and save them but without any effect on the css code!

My localhost server is MAMP and I work on a Mac (operating system: Mac Os Snow Leopard 10.6.8)

I have made a screenprint of the override.css file in the admin . . . what strikes is the black color of the code. Even when I try to edit the css code in Dreamweaver CS4 I receive a message that these files are locked. (see attachment).

Hope you can help me . . .

For your info if you edit override.css file for it to take effect you have to enable css override options from template settings > advanced settings > css override "on".

Regarding locked file override.css maybe read only attribute is enabled. In windows this is equivalent to right click on file and selecting read only checkbox.

In Macintosh i believe there is a padlock in file permissions and security tab in file properties. Click on padlock to unlock write permissions.

Let us know how you get on, see you around...

Thanks,

I already had enabled the css override options from template settings > advanced settings > css override "on"!

After unchecking the read only checkbox of the css files in MAMP, the permissions still are the same (only read not write) in the Joomla Administrator and in Dreamweaver ?!

I don't understand why these solutions don't work . . .
