Would anyone be so kind to set up quickstart world news II on my site? So it appears excactly as in the demo version. I can forward the codemail for my site - which is not yet live. I will customize it withl real articles later. It must be 1.5 Joomla version.

Please let me know.

Hi

The process of installation is really simple. Download quickstart package, unzip it and move to the server using FTP. Than run the site and joomla installation process will guide You throught the rest.

Thanks for your kind answer.

In relation to Quickstart - isn't this part only relevant if there's an existing database?

Prepare your Database

After all files are exported, you need to create a new database that will be used on the installation of your new Joomla! website. Thus, access the control panel provided by your host and create a new database.

And what about If I need to install the quick package offline, on my PC (not online) ? I have readed the tutorials but doesn't help me.

I am just a begginers in Joomla. The package file I am using (Boutique template) contains only the administrator directory, not the full Joomla installation files. So what is exactly the process to follow in this case ? I have already created my database with all privilegies. I tryied to replace the Joomla 2.5's administrator folder with the one provided in the package but with any improvement. I follow correctly the Joomla installation but, no Boutique site visibile. What I have to put into the /www/joomla/ directory ? If I put only the package (the "administrator" folder only) I cannot install Joomla 2.5, the systems give me an error. Any suggestion ? I know, probably it's a dummie question, please be patient.

Hi

Ok. So I assume You have a server established on Your PC (I think XAMP is the most popular). Now You need create a database. Just give it a name, You do not have to make anything else right now. Go to template download area and look for quickstart package. Download it, unpack, move all files to server location and open the location in browser. Joomla installator will open and guide You for the rest of installation process :) It should take like 3min. Let me know how it was.

Hi,

I am using EasyPHP 5.3.0. After I was unable to install the quickstart package on my PC I prefer to upload everything online directly, and there worked without problems. I was doing also the things illustrated in the Boutique's template section here: https://www.gavick.com/support/forums/104/13568.html The changes I wrote helped to start the process of uploading but was not able to process correctly the command.

Hi

Sorry, but I have no knowledge of EasyPHP, so I won't be much help here. Probably You should ask on this program's forum. Look for topict about joomla installations. Quickstart is basicaly a joomla instalator with content in installation folders.
