Good day,

I am pretty new to using Gavick templates, and in particular Corporate2 template which comes with some awesome extensions like: PHOTOSLIDE GK3, TABS MANAGER GK3, NEWS SHOW PRO GK1 AND NEWS HIGHLIGHTER GK1 modules. I've managed to install them successfully, but when i try to edit the "Tabs Manager" and "Photoslide" under the "Components" section of Joomla, i get the following php error:

"problem with php.ini configuration"

I'd be most grateful if someone can please explain this problem to me and what i need to do to resolve this, as it restricts me from doing any editing/adjusting the template to look as it should.

Much thanks,
Vivian Grenfell

No, this is what our hosting guys have to say:

“I don’t see any issues here, php is working fine and configured correctly. If the application requires its own php.ini file, unfortunately they can only use the global php.ini file.

It appears that this app requires its own php.ini file which the systems can then change automatically. We do not allow this. "

How do we work around this? I've since shown them suggestions from the previous forum, but still nothing...

Any ideas?

I guess that you haven't checked the solution posted in the other topic I provided you, it's exactly here https://www.gavick.com/support/forums/1 ... tml#p53207
Please go to Tabs Manager component settings and disable "Show Gavick News" parameter and you will not see anymore this.

Hi Don, you still there?

I can see that this issue has not really been resolved from your previous forum, and the answers given do seem a little vague.

Can you please offer any other solutions or ways around this problem? or else let me know if this is more to do with the hosting provider to come up with an alternative?

Either way, I need some answers please as this template we've purchased is looking very basic and unfinished at the moment which is a real pity.

Thanks,
Vivian

Hi,

Could you tell us what scripting is required for the php.ini file? We are on shared hosting and will need to see if this global php.ini file can be adapted to suit all users on this hosting.

Thanks,
Vivian

Hello?

Is anyone looking into this for us? I have also emailed you directly and still no one is responding?

Is this how you operate? I'm hoping you will at least give me some feedback as we will need to take a final decision on this non-functional template shortly.

It has to be said, the Support you offer is very very poor... pity

Cheers,
Vivian

Thanks Don, appreciate it.

It helps to let us know that they are looking into it so we don't end up misinterpreting the silence as a negative thing.

Thanks for the update, will wait to hear further from you.

Regards,
Vivian

Please check the memory limit issue, max file upload size and the most import part is GD library (please check whether it is installed)

Ok, here's the latest. We have decided to start from scratch again and reinstalled both Joomla and Corporate 2 template, only this time we installed Joomla 2.5 and installed the template (version 2.5). So far, it's looking the best it ever has and previous glitches resolved.

However, I have another query which I will post in another thread.

Thanks
