Hei

Happy New Year!

Please check my site:
http://www.innovation.ee

I just changed something on my site and somewhy suddenly dates appeared in some of my URL-s, messing up the 4 main links (4 images) on the frontpage - now they open up without any modules.

This happens basically every time i change something related to menus (add something, try to group something) so i am afraid to touch anything any more :D

What happened?

Hi

You have just discovered a standard joomla functionaity most people is asking Us about :)

Then You create a new menu item than a new Itemid is created also and Itemid is to attache a modules to it, so if modules were not set to show to "all" than it will have to manualy be added to show on this page.

Hei

thanks for the quick answer.... but why did this happen?

Ok, i recall, i copied items from Main Menu to Mobile Menu and enabled it..... so this must be it.

I had every necessary module published at the positions i needed as You say, except Mobile Menu. Why do the 4 Main Links With images (positions top**) correspond to Mobile Menu? As soon as i made checkmarks for the modules to be enabled for Mobile Menu also, they started appearing...

Just trying to understand

Thanks

Hi

Mobile menu is just a name for menu not really a menu for mobile template. Which means that You probably see a mobile when You are clicking throught pages, because a menu item with a latest ID takes charge. The only way to have a controle over it is not copy menu items but use an aliases to a first existing one.

Mobile template does have a different module positions so do not worry that any module will be visible there.
