How to turn header title into h1 tag rather than h2

Hi,

Is there a reason why the article title is being used as a h2 tag rather than h1 in Joomla 1.7? I would prefer not to have a global h1 tag which is currently the logo and set this as the page title, then obviously define any h2s' within the page itself. I don't understand the reason for this change of config between joomla 1.5 and joomla 1.7...?
