HMTL is being stripped out of item view in K2

I'm not trying to do anything real fancy here, just some text formatting... any ideas, I searched round, even searched posted on K2's forums... ZERO help there. Love the K2 plugin, but there is .css files everywhere, knowing which to change, and to what has me spinning

I've tried Turning off "Clean CSS" in the News Pro module. That does not fix it.


From what I've been able to discover, allowing HTML is controlled in the CSS. Unluckily I don't know CSS. And I have been unable to discover what to change which CSS to do it in.

I don't know if this is beyond the scope of this forum, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

can u disable xhtml anywhere?

I disabled "clean (x)html" in all News Show Pro GK4 modules (GK4 1.5 24/06/2010), no luck at all... I do have a pre 2.0 version that came with the gamebox template (1.0.5 25/06/2010). Would upgrading fix it?

I've been trying to clean and customize everything up before upgrading anything, so I can at least restore things to a working level if something goes bad.

I believe there may be updates for the template too.

Also, before trying to upgrade, I can not seem to find details on how to upgrade from my current version of News Show Pro (version above)...

From version 1.7, we fixed problem with reference to function parsePlugin.
So try updating News Show Pro GK4 to latest version.
You just need to replace files via FTP.

The latest version of News Show Pro fixed everything.


Note: If your running across this and have the same problem, upgrade to the newest version of both K2 and News Show Pro, then make sure you not only check the "clean (x)html" on New Show Pro, but also check K2's "paramaters" (icon on the upper right). There are two options there for cleaning tags/html on "introtext" and "fulltext"

That should solve any problems you run into
