Not sure if I should go with JomSocial or Community Builder

Basically I'm not sure which has more features, but it seems like community builder might have more features then JomSocial, but I know JomSocial is compatible with the Gamebox template. My question is when I install JS with Gamebox will my current default look or layout change at all for gamebox? and If I install CB with Gamebox would my look change or is this possible please let me know... I'm a newbie to joomla and this site, but I love the GAVICK templates and I had to become a member.

I do not know CB well but templates are made the way it do not interfere with the components. Anyway some issues might come out, but nothing which cannot be fixed.

Ok, I figured my problem out and I set the default template to be gk_style.

But now when I go to the homepage I don't see any changes or like the members I'm suppose to see on the front page like it shows in the pdf help file.


and I missing something? should I e-mail you the address of the site?

I can see Your site working fine. You probably just need to put couple of modules for jomsocial on the frontpage.

You are trying to install a quickstart with joomla installer ?

Quickstart is a compressed fully independent site. Simply unzip it and copy to the server, than run joomla instalation from the quickstart.
