Failed to change file permissions!

hello

i download the latest quickstart party freak template

and after the installation i want to change the default color .

i make the change in the params.ini with my ftp and a give 777 permission in this files

but i take this messages (inside drom joomla template parameters)

The parameter file /templates/gk_party_freak/params.ini is unwritable!

and when i open again the params.ini file has 644 permission!!!!!!!!!

why i can't change the permission in params.ini file?

That must be related with You server. Probably not sufficient permissions for Your user. Please contact Your provider.
