Need Some Help Please!

Hi, I've just upgraded to Joomla 1.5.18...
And just copied all the files in the QuickStart to my server... gonegator.com

Now when I goto gonegator.com...

All I see is...

I think I've found the problem and now site appear.

BUT the problem was with some JComments plugin. There is not such plugin at the site, but code is actiong like it exist and than throwing the error because cannot find the right code.

Please take a closer look on this JComments.


All I did was to put "!" sign in line 68:

in file template/gk_party_freak/html/com_content/frontpage/default_item.php


I would suggest to reinstall everything connected to JComments and than take off my little change.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I may have missed something in doing so. I will uninstall JComments and reinstall this weekend.

One other problem I've noticed is whenever I try to make a change in template manager to party freak, joomla tells me that params.ini is unwritable and I have to reset permissions on it all the time. Is there a way to fix that?

Sorry for being late. I was out for a weekend. I can see this strange behaviour but must tell that the settings are overwritting even if the file is unwritable. I do not know if it's some security for ini files or not but I think You should ask Your hosting comapny for some informations.

Another issue:

On News Show Pro GK1 module, please check if you have disable "Clean (X)HTML in content" parameter. If so, enable it.

Also, go to advanced parameters and disable "Use module CSS" parameter.
