Support for Jomsocial 1.8 ?

I'm currently Beta testing Jomsocial 1.8 (current beta 1.7.15) and there are significant changes to the profile. Will Gavick be updating Party Freak to accomodate this? 1.8 is due to go live at the end of May 2010. Currently the appications don't show up correctly on the new beta.

I too would be very interested to know if Gavick are going to update the Patty freak template to accommodate the JomSocial 1.8 release.

Could we have a response on this please ? In lieu of the latest announcement regarding non support for customization I can confirm that this query is strictly related to the template itself and not a request out of scope.

Sorry but you are totally wrong. This template was (and currently has) support for Jomsocial (please see attached).I'm currently using it ! ...I am simply asking if it will support the upcoming version 1.8 ???

If it will not support version 1.8 and you intend not to support it here then you should change your description on your site to read "Jomsocial 1.6 and below"..

The problem is that I'm lack of internet connection right now (waiting for instalators at my new flat) and cannot answer as often as I want to.

I'm not assign for updates of our products jet and do not get information on this topic eather. But as far as I know the lack of updates for previous templates running jomsocial is comming from the fact that every one of them will be transformed to T3 framework and than the compatibility with newest version of jomsocial will be achived. Party Freak is already using T3 so the update will be relised sooner probably but due to the fact that I'm just a Forum Moderator I'm not familiar with the approximate date, sorry.

I'll ask someone upper than me and answer as soon as the information come to me.

So here I am, 1 week later, still with no response to one of the simplest questions I have asked here.

Gavick: I am a full subscriber to the four other major Templates Clubs out their. I asked the very same question to them via their respective forums and received the answer within 3 days total across all clubs....Why am I still waiting on you guys ???????

Yes we'll upgrade all JomSocial based templates to the new versions of JomSocial especially to 1.8 version which will be free.

White theme? This template has only one dark style.
All templates, supporting Jomsocial component will be upgraded to new version in the next month.

I just finished installing 1.8 - scary as always - and so far PF appears to be just as before. I recommend to everyone, make sure you do the JS upgrade on a test site first, some new stuff that could mess up your live site if you miss it - not related to PF - just an FYI

Does anyone know when JomSocial will became free component? I hearde that 1.8 would be the one, but it sertainly is not.

I too need to know when Quay and Party Freak will support JomSocial 1.8. I have installed and I am waiting to push it live. Also, there is no instructions with Quay to install the JomSocial theme files however, I read on the forum for another template... it said to copy them into /components/com_community/templates/. I did so and the layouts changed but the style chooser does not work as I have set the default style to be green/purple and everything on the JomSocial templates appear in red and the layout is wonky...

Please let me know when the templates have been updated and what I can do in the mean time to fix the problems.

Quay is okay but what about Party Freak support for Jomsocial 1.8, how much time it will take, last month there was a statement that Jomsocial updates will be done by the Next Month now July is also going to end.

I am still utterly amazed at how Gavick refuses to release and support the most wanted and in my opinion their best theme ever and make it an official release.
