White Theme/Background

i thought the lite version of this template was just altering the black to white backgrounds... i would still like to have the yellow as full yellow etc... those colours pop from the page and look awesome...
can you please adjust so the colours that we not involved in the background are not altered?
this template now looks far too washed out (still cool, but not really inline with the "music/entertainment" design it was originally intended for!

Hi. So you could have used the pre-version of the light template which was postet weeks ago in this topic.

I agree, this is too light. The original lite version seemed perfect. There just isn't enough contrast with this.

i am not willing to take a risk installing incomplete templates on the offchance that they might work - there was no notification from the developers that this was the case... some user just asked for the unfinished version for his own use - why would that make me think it was workable???

i wish if this was the case, that someone could have mentioned it eralier - as i have been waiting forever for a white background version!

i will however still be waiting for an official notifications from the gavick team as to when its possible to install apackage that is final for a contratsted biright yellow etc / white background template as to my knowledge was the original requests and breif

I don't think they will release it for some reason or they might hold off and release it as the May theme (which I would not have a problem with but it would be very cheap if they did).

cant say anytihng about there support but they have been very professional with template releases and we all know gavick templates are the best in the world..
they said they are porting numbers of template for t3 framework and it consumes a hell lot of time..

In last days, i add to travel to Barcelona on work.
I was force to stay there more time, because of the cancel flights to my Country (Portugal). I return to normal work and hope to finish this as soon as possible.

I think that is the same version as it was 5 weeks ago; Paulo told me that he had to start over from scratch and that he was working on it locally.

I agree totally , I have abstained from moaning about this one here as we are all aware and respect that these things take time to complete however one should never really keep promising timeframes which are totally unrealistic...it just leads to unnecessary disapointment.....This thread has become less than pointless IMO....not a total waste of time yet from my perspective as I check this once an evening to humour myself at naivety of the masses........?

I apologize for the delay. I´m working on a very important HelpFile to be available on the begging of next month - T3 Framework HelpFile.

I will try to finish this today or till end of tomorrow.

Like Robert said (and well) this is not an official release of Gavick, it's from my initiative, so please be patience.

Cheers Paulo - I don't think most of us realized that this was a bonus template from you and not Gavick as a whole; at least, I missed out on that point.

I didn't understand that until Robert pointed it out in a post about the May 2010 template.

We all appreciate the extra effort made by you, and I for one cannot wait to see it finished.

Hope some day he will complete this, not realizing many r waiting for this since months, every time it is pending pending.... also for May Template we r simply waiting! this is a gavick tradition now a days !

It's almost done.
It needs only Jomsocial finishing style.
It's not only change images or colors, but needs adjustments because original theme doesn't show things that light theme shows (margins and padding essentially, and also needs some exception classes)

You can see the development here.

It will have 6 colors variations.

I want to re-iterate a request that many asked for, if it would be possible to move the search box from the header and put it where the tool menu is?

Paulo has went AWOL again unfortunately and it has been a week ago he told me he would have it done by Sunday. I have even offered him cold cash for finishing it and he turned me down; so I am not sure if it is a lack of time issue or lack of being able to finish it.

We'll just have to go with a JA or JoomlaXTC design for our new look at Joomla Views which is a shame because I really, really liked the PF Light look that Paulo has shown previews of.

I also want to point out that I am really disappointed with the GK management team for not realizing that there are a lot of us that have wanted the PF Light template since it was first previewed by Paulo and adopt it as an official GK release thus enabling Paulo to concentrate and release this template.

It's a lost opportunity and a shame.

Unfortunately it seems that although there appears to be quite a few of their clients that are really wanting this theme that GK has gone back to their "sweep threads under the rug and forget about them" attitude which is very frustrating to us clients.

There is a very, very uneven level of customer support and a general aloof attitude that shows a lack of interest in helping their clients, which I find both fascinating, confusing and aggravating.

I agree with the above totally!!!. I am a standard annual Gavick subscriber. I wonder at what level of support you would get as a Developer in this club but judging by the level of support / response here (not just this thread !) I can only imagine it would par upon fair if that.....

I am a subscriber to the four main Joomla template clubs at present.(most who still help with bespoke requests BTW) Support varies from good to bad across these from time to time but NEVER has it ever reached the level of disregard that you can get from Gavick Support... I think Gavick produces the better light weight templates out of the top 4/5 consumer clubs at the moment however with more and more CSS / Template Clubs starting up and becoming popular the attachment this one will lessen in importantance in the future.

I myself was never looking forward to a light version of this template (as it would never happen)...It is quicker and less dissapointing to create one yourself.....I have seen this type of thread various times on these forums before so generally dont get sucked into the naive hype (hope) to avoid being disapointed (which many here are obviously)

Respect to V4MP however who created the tabbed version of the Party Freak template of his own accord quickly and shared to the masses AND supported ....This club needs more subscribers like that so not to be so dependant on the Gavick Team themselves and make this club worthwhile being part of !!

What can i say to you guys again?
This is not official release. This is only my private initiative.
So don't confuse this theme with regular work in gavick. And if you want to blame or make any accusations, make it to me and not Gavick Team.

I have being working on other priority work.
- HelpFile for News Show Pro GK4 (already finished)
- Working on T3 Framework Helpfile
- Working with the rest of the team, at this present moment, on the next template to be release very soon (This is the top priority).

So, please be patience and don't ask me when it will release.
I'm sorry, but that be best i can do for now.

If anyone wants to receive the files as they are now, i will be glad to send them.
