White Theme/Background

I'm also trying to change the colors for this templace but I can't find which line in the css files defines the text color in the main menu.

Hey, I can not promise that I absolutly right but I think you can find the "hover colour" in style1.css

#gk-splitmenu > ul > li:hover > a span, #gk-splitmenu > ul > li > a.active span
{
color:#FFAE00;
}

and the regular color in the gk_stuff.css

#gk-splitmenu > ul > li > a, #gksdl-mainnav > ul > li > a
{
color:#767676;
margin:0 8px;
}

Important is to check which menu-style you are using. This example is for "splitmenu"

Let me know if I'am right.

FYI - I noticed that it is not parsing the author tag correctly:

Would it be possible to ask you to move the search bar to where the toolbar is right now (on the opposite side of the cookies)?

I must agree with everybody in the thread. The dark version is AWESOME! But, I as well, would prefer a light version. When do you think the light version will become available?

Would you be ever so kind to upload the .psds for the white version? Need to modify some of the graphics, but don't want to re-create all the colors.

You can use the file above without any problems. It looks like the core template is finished. But (for example) there is no template override for Jomsocial. So you have to replace the colorcode on your own.

cool - will wait for the official version - as i am not skilled enough to play around with the files much past a graphics point

Seriously though; the black version looks great but the light version is an awesome looking template, and I am really impressed how you guys have adapted T3 and are beating JoomlArt's own T3 based templates - they don't even stand a chance.

We intend to use the light version on Joomla Views and I've held off doing the re-design until the light version is officially released.

Addendum:

Paulo, would it be possible to move the search box to where the tools menu is (under the main menu)?

That would make it easier to add a banner next to the logo; and really, changing any of the tool settings messes up the layout completely as things don't fit nicely together when width or text sizes are changed.

If you are not going to do the template, can you at least upload the .psd file for us?

I think Paul might have been a little bit too hostile in his reply but I've also been waiting for this for the last couple of weeks and while I understood the delay due to the release corporate2, I am getting kind of frustrated as well.

What's the stats on this one? For me; personally, I would have been perfectly happy had you released Party Freak Lite as the April theme - of course I don't expect everyone feels the same but I think we've waited long enough and I really would like the final version.

Is it done, scrubbed, on hold.. whats up?

No offense to Gavick or anyone (and yes, I know this is an extra you are doing the white version), but please don't make promises you can't keep. If you can't do the white version, I understand, but don't say you will and then not do it.

argh - me wanty... this tempalte is soooo good - where is the white version kids? please please please... we are waiting with baited breath - to the point that i ma now three weeks out on schedule!!! ARGH!!!

to my view, it´s better to do it by your one. this guy is only choking. I think, it was the same with the pulse-template month ago, which was never released. Have fun with photoshop!

Its looking great; any idea when you will release it?

Two things I would like to see is the removal of the tools menu because you cannot use it without messing up the design big time; replacing it with the search button (move the search bar down to the tool bar menu)

And the other thing would be to remove the angled pieces around some buttons (search/vote) - it looks good on the dark version but the its an effect that does not transfer well to the light version IMHO.

The tools menu can be disable on the template parameters.

Well, i can add a class suffix for user to choose between this style and other. I will add this.
