Question Regarding Template Upgrade From Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.6

[Sorry for duplicate post. I accidentally put this in the Template General Discussion forum.]

The instructions for the Memovie template Upgrade say:

"For upgrade please replace old files with the new ones:
- templateDetails.xml
- html/mod_login/default.php"

Possibly silly question...does that mean BEFORE upgrading Joomla from 1.5 to 1.6? Or AFTER?

Thanks.

Nothing? Come on guys...doesn't seem like that tough a question. And I'd really like to know the answer. :)

Hi

We are releasing 2 versions of templates. For 1.5 and 1.6 (1.7 now). So just use the right one :)

I appreciate the reply, but my question was about the timing of the template installation. Do I just install the 1.7 template AFTER upgrading Joomla to 1.6 (or 1.7)?

Thanks...I've made definite progress now. :) But I have one question left at this time:

I still have an issue with Class Suffix. (Are class suffixes supported in the 1.7 template?) I get a fairly generic, bland color scheme and I can't seem to change it, even in my Gavick modules, like News Pro GK4.

Is it possible I missed something during the installation? Or do I need to replace any files or anything else? I'm close now, but I could really use your help on this. I'm getting my content close to the layout of my original (Joomla 1.5) site, but the color schemes are lacking.

Thanks.

I've solved the module suffix problem. (Got the answer in another thread...use a leading space instead of an underscore.) :)

My remaining problem is described in this thread. I'd appreciate if you could look and see if you can help.

115-joomla-16--17/88278-user-positions-question.html

This page displays the problem...

I'd like the ">>>>> >>>>> Headlines <<<<< <<<<<" part at the bottom of the page to be centered across the entire page. This uses positions user1 through user 5. Somehow I need to disable user6 through user12, or something like that.

Thanks again.
