Reinstalling World News II on an existing site.

On a live site using World News II, can i reinstall the same template (just the template, not Quickstart) again using Extension Manager overwriting the old one? Or do I have to FTP the files?

My current template installation is having some problems (social networks not working, among other issues) and would like to reinstall the template without messing up the live website.

The easiest way would be to replace folder with ftp, but it might not help in that case, because template settings are stored in database and will not be overridden.
