Hi, Im using different menu and templates for different sections of the website.

Unfortunately jumping from one template and menu (menu1) to another menu item (in another menu2) does not change that template. The menu and first template is shown with content of menu2.

A know problem ?

Hi,
Here it is <http://www.workem.org/> Brown template menu1::Home

Clicking on Community and selecting first menu Framework should brings you to Blue template and menu2::FESS, the means of an alias for menu item

<http://www.workem.org/index.php/en/fess-home>

But here one can see all modules allocated to menu2::FESS appearing, but still the Brown template and Menu1.

I have checked:
menu2::FESS is has template Blue allocated to it.
Template Blue has menu2 set and show template menu on.

Odd isnt it?

Hi

It's not a framework job but joomla, but this task should be pretty easy. Send me an access to joomla panel. I'll check menu attachments.

Hi,

Unfortunately we dont give access to outside parties.

It seems as if only the default template veriants that is marked as default for the current language is chosen.

It seems as if its not possible to show more than one template variant per language?!

I want to use different menus for different parts of the site using. But here the WNII has a only one template menu per template. Is it possible to not to show the template menu and instead to show the menu attached to a particular menu-item?

Hi, there is also a gray band at the top of the "mainmenu", / template menu?!

Should it be there?

Ok, fixed the gray band. Used the wrong Search module.

But the template switching remains.

Have check many times that the menu point to the right template - blue
but still...
- All modules allocated to the menu is shown ok.
- If a template is defined as default of language 'en' this is shown (brown) (instead of the desired template)
- If no language default is defined then site default template is shown. (red)
- in no case my allocated menu is shown ?????

Hmm, the template switching now works when SEF is turned off for (joomla 2.5).

Hi

Sef not always remember menuitemid which is crucial in this operation. Problems can also be visible if you are using aliases for menu or there is no landing pages for articles. Anyway every scenarios lead to menu structure. Unfortunately without joomla panel access i can only guess :(

If menus are changing per language than i would advice to use falang component to just translate menus and attaching different template per language. Menu will stay the same, just translated.
