Hi, on my home page i am having problems. in the mod_news_pro_gk4 you have a choice of what to have the name of the title on the page, for example on my home page i have weight loss lifestyle, and you can choose to have this h2, h1, h3 ex, but when i try changing this, nothing works.

I am trying to have certain titles on my home page as h2 to improve seo. can anyone please let me know how to solve this

my site is www.in2town.co.uk

News Show pro have option to clean HTML code, from our documentation :

The “Text” – allows to set position, floating, link, text width limits and option to clean HTML code).

Please disable this feature in News Show Pro configuration, more about NSP features you can find here News Show Pro GK5 Documentation

i have read this, and this is what it says

The “Header Tag” is used to specify the HTML tag for module header/title, you can choose from six different HTML headings(H1…H6) and p.

The “Header Class” is used to add the CSS class for module header/title.

The “Module Style” use this option only if you want to override the template style for it’s position.

i am doing that but all the titles on my home page, i mean the module titles are all h3 when i want to be able to choose which ones to have as h2 and h3 without causing problems for the layout of the header.

if i get rid of the clean html then that means i will get strange layouts and i do not want that

This options works with default Joomla! template like prostar, in our templates due to added suffixes all modules use the same header class and style.

so does this mean that my articles cannot change their h2, h3, etc and the title of the module cannot change its h2, h3, surely this must be bad for seo

I think we are talking about completely different things - in article you can but any tags you want to but if you want to display them in News Show Pro the module will clean this HTML code and display only clean text.

what i am trying to do is, have the module name as h2 for better seo.

i am struggling to get my home page to optimize for important keywords and i have been advised to get my module titles as h2 so i can put important keywords there such as lifestyle news, etc

any help would be great

The only solution for this is to open file html/modules.php and change tag for all modules to H2.
